Carolling At Christmas

On 13 December, residents and colleagues from across all of our housing and care locations came together for a special festive singalong.

Our recent research found that 70% of people think that singing brings people together, so we thought a singalong would be the ideal way to bring people together and get them in the festive spirit this Christmas.

The singalong was hosted over Zoom which allowed all of the locations to participate and enjoy the day. We had a special guest, and our Linwood care home was joined by local school children to celebrate the intergenerational aspect of Christmas. 

For many of our residents, the service brought back fond memories of carolling or singing in a local choir and how it made them feel like it was finally Christmas. Hosting the singalong over Zoom allowed us to bring everyone together and ensure anyone who wanted to participate could do so - even from the comfort of their living room. 

The carols we sang included: 

• Away in the Manger
• Silent Night
• O Little Town of Bethlehem
