Anchor converts to a Community Benefit Society

Anchor today converted to a Community Benefit Society.

Anchor remains a charity and a not-for-profit organisation and the change makes no difference to the services provided to customers. The move would ease the process of merging with Hanover Housing Association, which is already a CBS, if the merger proceeds later in 2018.

It was announced in May 2018 that the two organisations were in discussions about a potential merger. They have sought feedback from customers and stakeholders and hope to report back in the autumn.
 
As a CBS, Anchor is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and its company numbers change. These can be found here.
