Anchor’s Brett Jenkins talks us through a week in the life of a Wellness Manager

Brett Jenkins, Senior Wellness Manager at Anchor’s Hampshire Lakes and Bishopstoke Park retirement villages, has been featured in an online article giving a description of his working week.

The piece entitled “A week in the life of… Brett Jenkins, Anchor” outlines what the role of a Wellness Manager at a flagship retirement village involves and the type of creative and interesting projects he works on.

Brett talks about how the classes offered at both villages are designed to ensure there is something for everyone, regardless of ability or age, Brett says: “Our mantra is ‘everyone is included, no-one is excluded’.”

Brett has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years, and was recently nominated as a finalist in the Physical Activity Champion category of the UK Active Awards, for his outstanding work in changing the lives of older people.

“While I spend a lot of time in our wellness centres themselves, resident engagement is a large part of my role – I take great pride in knowing all of the residents at our villages so I enjoy making time to get out and about to speak to people.”
