Property and Assets Graduate jobs at Anchor
Our graduate scheme has been developed to give a structured, supported and broad foundation as a residential general practice surveyor.
You’ll work alongside qualified professionals to learn and cultivate the essential skills and competencies required to successfully pass the RICS Assessment of Professional Competency (APC).
We’ll align your objectives with Anchor’s organisational needs to your competencies to ensure you’ll have responsibilities and opportunities to get hands-on with relevant experience. You’ll engage in regular interactions with colleagues and residents, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the residential market and the dynamics of how property enables us to provide more and better homes for our residents.
Two-year structured rotational scheme
The two-year structured rotational scheme has been designed to give graduates the opportunity to work in the following areas – giving a breadth of experience:
Portfolio Strategy
- Providing strategic property advice to Anchor
- Deciding whether each asset is a long-term investment
- Finding opportunities for us to expand our offering and develop more homes
Planning
- You will be providing town planning advice for Anchor's portfolio
- Reviewing legislation to establish whether something needs permission
- Preparing planning appraisals for development opportunities
Asset Evaluation
- You will be responsible for collecting the property condition data
- Using this to formulate the prioritised Asset Investment Plan
Estate Management
- You will be assisting with disposals, acquisition, rates management, external rents payable and mortgages
- Managing the valuation process
Property Delivery
- You will be responsible for helping to deliver repair projects, investments and sustainability projects
- Ensuring our properties are safe and well-maintained
