Anchor’s Care Home Managers and Deputy Managers help to ensure that care homes deliver an outstanding level of person-centred care, creating a welcoming and friendly environment for our care colleagues and customers. 

What are the responsibilities of Care Home Managers at Anchor? 

Two colleagues talkingAs Care Home Manager or Deputy Care Home Manager you'll be accountable for all aspects of a location and service provision within one of our homes, supporting happy living and exceeding residents and their families’ expectations. You will also be responsible for the delivery of quality service which meets CQC fundamental standards.

You will play a lead role in working with the district manager in the mobilisation, development and implementation of the home care service, delivering a service which is economically viable and where resources are managed effectively.

Your management skills will be used to ensure that a high level of quality care is delivered, using your knowledge in the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and regular audits and inspections of the care home. 

What are the requirements of Care Home Managers and Deputy Managers at Anchor?

To be a Care Home Manager or Deputy Manager at Anchor, we require individuals to have the ability to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Strong, customer focussed management skills
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional, high-quality care
  •  A strong attention to detail
  • Level 5 Leadership in management (Residential pathway) or equivalent. If not already obtained

Anchor will provide this. It is a requirement of the role that this is obtained within 6 months of undertaking the role.
