Manor Court care home in Plymouth has introduced a new exercise class as part of a new strategy for delivering meaningful activities. 

The new exercise class is called Oomph and is run by two specially trained members of the care team. 

Home Manager Rachel McGarry said: “The new class is extremely popular and is enjoyed by many of the residents.

“A number of residents have said they have thoroughly enjoyed it and that they are pleased that they getting to keep fit in this new, fun way.”

“The Oomph programme of training and support has proven to be a great inspiration to the staff and has shown immediate benefits to the residents in our care.”

Anchor are passionate about delivering a wide range of activities for residents which include physical activities such as Oomph, gardening, walking clubs, musical activities, pet therapy, reminiscence and outings.
