Orchard Gardens care home in Bishopstoke will be holding a dementia information session so members of the public can find out more about the condition.
Staff from Orchard Gardens care home in Bishopstoke Park will be holding the session on 23rd March, where the local community can find out about the 100 types of dementia and the support available.
Orchard Garden’s Customer Relations Manager Lisa Sands will be on hand to talk to members of the local community during the session which starts at 2pm.
She will explain how person-centred care and one-on-one activities can enable people with the condition to still get the most out of life.
Lisa said: “The number of people living with dementia is growing and Anchor is leading the way with training its staff so we can help older people live well with the condition.
“We want to provide information to the local community because many people are understandably concerned about dementia.
“Anchor has contributed to the Government’s national dementia strategy and we think it’s important to share our knowledge and experience with people living in Bishopstoke.”
The number of attendees for the dementia workshops at Orchard Gardens care home is limited so anyone interested can book a place by telephoning Customer Relations Manager, Lisa Sands on 02380 645 209.
