Hampshire Lakes Retirement Village in Yateley went big with their Christmas light switch on this year with local professional street busker Dean Dyson and Michelle Jordan from Heart Radio present for the event.
Entertainment from Dean helped kick off the festivities at the village and homemade mulled wine and mince pies were a plenty. Michelle from Heart Radio had the pleasure of turning on the lights which has helped Yateley shine.
Michelle, Heart Radio breakfast presenter said; “It was a great opportunity for me to visit Hampshire Lakes and I was thoroughly spoilt by the staff and welcomed with open arms. I was even built a sparkly stage for the big event! The village is a very warm and welcome place and now full of Christmas spirit which has spread to all of the residents who I was pleased to meet.”
Mr and Mrs Oliver, first residents to move into Hampshire Lakes, celebrated their two year anniversary since moving into the village too. “Moving to Hampshire Lakes was the best decision we ever made. Everything about the village is fantastic and the staff really make it a great place to live. We have a very festive outlook from our apartment now with all the Christmas lights on show- a real effort has been made by all.”
Claire Osler, Village Manager at Hampshire Lakes said; “The team at Hampshire Lakes are one of a kind. We pull together in all occasions and Christmas has a special place in everyone’s hearts. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success and bring the community together, especially to our guests Dean Dyson and Michelle Jordan who put on a great show for us.”
