Customers at The Beeches in Leatherhead, Surrey were 'All Shook Up' when Chris Fields, an Elvis impersonator, performed.

The customers returned to the Swinging 60s for the evening when Chris danced in his 'Blue Suede Shoes' while singing a selection of the King of Rock and Roll's greatest hits.

Elvis fan Peggy Holmes, 87, said “Elvis was a fantastic performer and I loved all his songs. And, of course, he was very good looking. Hearing the songs now, reminds me of when I was younger, doing the rock ‘n’ roll dances.”

Isabella Sabine, 90, also enjoyed the live performance of Elvis’s songs.  She said: “My favourite Elvis hit is Always on my Mind. I liked his songs because they are good tunes to listen to. I bought so many of his records when I was younger.”

The Beeches Activities Co-ordinator Lisa Harrell said: “We organise a lot of different activities as it’s important for the residents’ mental and physical well-being as well as it being fun! We know that Elvis and his songs had a huge impact on the lives of our residents so we thought it would be a good way to launch our winter programme of activities to have the king sing here.”

The customers loved the event and certainly weren’t lonesome that night.
