Residents at Selkirk House care home in Plymouth were joined by Deputy Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Richard Ball and his wife Deputy Lady Mayoress of Plymouth, Dianne Ball, for their summer fayre this week.
Everyone was pleased that the weather stayed warm and sunny for the special occasion, which saw the local community come together at the care home in Plymstock.
An array of stalls offered visitors cakes, crafts and bric-a-brack, the Plymstock Bell Ringers delighted the audience in the garden with their bell ringing, while younger guests enjoyed a children’s Pooky Pirate Show and Treasure Hunt.
James Kazer Hospitality Manager at Selkirk House said: “The day was a huge success which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. It was lovely to see so many people from the local community and the Deputy Lord Mayor come along and support the home.”
James continued: “We also had a raffle which included 2 highly sought after tickets for Woodlands Theme Park. All monies raised went towards our Residents Fund.”
