Residents at Buckingham Lodge care home celebrate with a Caribbean themed summer party on Saturday 27 August.
Residents dressed to impress and enjoyed a day full of themed activities, with Caribbean food being served for lunch followed by a performer singing a medley of reggae music and summer songs. The day also included outdoor games, a prize raffle and even limbo dancing.
Resident Sylvia enjoyed the party: “it was a great to see everyone dressed up in bright colours and dancing, we had a great time trying all the food and singing along”.
Julie Chanel, Customer Relations Manager at Anchor’s Buckingham Lodge, said everyone was really excited about the event saying, “we organise a lot of different activities here as it’s important for the residents’ to stay active. This time our singer was a hit with all the residents, he had them all dancing and singing along!”
