At The Ridings, we provide residential care for 41 older people who may have short-term memory problems and mild to moderate dementia. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.

Set in a quiet location and in its own beautiful grounds, The Ridings is close to the local shops, health centre and pubs. Most rooms have lovely views of the well-kept gardens.

We offer:

Accommodation

• Single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin

• Telephone point in each room for your own direct line

• Television point and connections for satellite and digital TV

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• 4 cosy lounges, two with TVs and some with quiet areas for reading and relaxing

• Tea-making facilities are available where you and your visitors can make drinks

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lifts to upper floor

Dining

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be ordered and delivered daily to your room

• We have pleasant gardens with an area to sit out in summer

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

• Wheelchair access and car parking available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement

• We have a personal laundry facility and laundry service

• A pay telephone is available

• Religious services and meetings are arranged

• There is a GP available and you can keep your own GP

• Our Hairdresser visits every week
