Willow Gardens residents had a fantastic Beach Week which included a Pirates of the Caribbean themed party on Saturday.
Cockles, muscles and other seafood was on the menu and Captain Jack Sparrow even made a guest appearance entertaining residents.
After a few seaside "shanties" and tots of rum, those who wished settled down to watch the film together.
The preceding week had been busy with the Hampshire Lakes Bistro inviting Willow Gardens residents down for other seaside-themed activities and fish and chip suppers.
The week commenced with a Hawaiian Party to which everyone wore flower and shell necklaces and enjoyed tropical cocktails.
The construction company who are building Phase 2 of the Hampshire Lakes retirement village, Keetmoat, kindly provided sandpits and paddling pools so that residents and staff could all have a go at "Hook the Duck" and building sandcastles, which evoked great memories of seaside holidays for both staff and residents.
We were also treated to some George Formby songs by local ukulele player Matt Quilliam.
