Residents and staff at Anchor’s Greenhive care home in London have enjoyed a cocktail party this month working with Magic Me.
The care home was transformed into a quaint tea room with colourful tablecloths, flowers and decorative bunting.
Magic Me is an arts charity that works to bring different generations together in the community. Anchor have been working with Magic Me for a while now and have hosted an array of cocktail evening in our care homes.
Ten new volunteers joined the celebrations, mingling with residents and sharing their favourite cocktail recipes with one another.
Jo Bown, Anchor Community Partnership Manager for London and the East said: “It has been a wonderful evening. The residents have all told me they enjoyed dressing up for the special evening occasion and chatting with the volunteers, the friends and family members who could attend.”
The home plans to hold these special cocktail parties once a month, with the next two planned in for 17th June and 15th July.
