At Kirkley Lodge, we provide residential care for 47 older people varying from residents who have physical disabilities to those who have dementia or similar needs. We also provide care for residents who now find that they need some practical and personal care. Staff are on hand 24-hours a day to provide care and support.  

Set in a quiet location in its own well-maintained gardens, Kirkley Lodge is close to the local shopping centre, post office, leisure facilities and restaurants.

Accommodation

• Single en-suite rooms with WC and washbasin

• Tea-making facilities available where you and your visitors can make drinks

• Television point and connections for digital and satellite TV

• Telephone point in all bedrooms for your own direct line

• Call bells in each room providing 24-hour help

• Kirkley Lodge operates a no-smoking policy

• Rooms decorated to high standard

• We encourage personal items to be brought in to enhance your room

• Four cosy lounges some with TV, DVD player and music systems. There are also quiet lounges for relaxing

• Bathrooms specially equipped so you can relax in comfort

• Lift to upper floor

Dining

 • Breakfast and supper are served either in the lounge or can be enjoyed in your room if you prefer.

• Choice of healthy and nutritious meals and any special dietary requirements catered for

• Unlike other care homes, there is no need to order food in advance

Leisure activities

• Newspapers can be delivered daily to your room

• Kirkley Lodge has very pleasant gardens to sit out with patio areas, a gazebo and water feature

• Stimulating and wide-ranging activities are organised at our home each week

 Facilities

• Wheelchair access and car parking are available

• Pets are welcome by arrangement and we have regular visits by the “Pets As Therapy” dog

• We have a personal laundry facility

• A pay telephone is available

Health and personal care

• There is a GP available on request

• Our Hairdresser visits 3 days a week

• Our Chiropodist visits once every 4-6 weeks or on request

• The District Nurse and Physiotherapist visit by arrangement

Local area

• Swimming pool, theatre, Captain Cook Birthplace Museum , Butterfly World and Coulby Newham Farm

• Excellent bus routes to Middlesbrough Town Centre, 6 miles away

• The historic town of Guisborough and the seaside towns of Saltburn and Redcar are nearby

• Nearest Hospital is James Cook University Hospital , 3.9 miles

• Nunthorpe Railway Station, 2.5 miles
