Launching an innovative partnership with Anchor

Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund case study

If you were to ask someone what qualifies as great organisation, they would probably say one that provides great rewards. But organisations that are concerned for your welfare right through to retirement are nowadays scarce.

The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF), a leading UK charity that works to support people working in the film, cinema and commercial television industries, has shown their commitment to their beneficiaries by launching an innovative partnership with Anchor offering access to care homes nationwide at preferential rates.  With both being not-for-profit organisations committed to shared values - this partnership is truly a natural fit.

Although the CTBF have their own care home in Wokingham, the demand for care among their beneficiaries around the country soon started to outweigh their single offering.

In response to this growing need, they chose to partner with Anchor and on 11 March 2014 launched the CTBF National Care Plan. This plan offers a 10% discount to CTBF beneficiaries as well as the parents of industry qualifying personnel choosing to live in an Anchor care home.

The CTBF made their decision to work with Anchor based on our decades of experience, not-for-profit status and the vast choice of places and ways to live we offer, including over 120 care homes and 700 retirement properties.

Barry Jenkins OBE, President of the CTBF, said: “As a trade charity we have a responsibility to respond to the growing needs of film and television practitioners experiencing hardship across the country. We have seen an increasing demand for care support regionally and we believe this unique partnership with Anchor is a great way to answer that need and a smart way for not-for-profits to work together for mutual benefit.”

Anyone who feels they might be eligible under the CTBF National Care Plan and would like to find out more can contact The CTBF on 0800 138 2522.
