Anchor's assisted living care packages offer support for independently minded older people with a range of care and support needs.
Assisted living combines the purchase of a high-quality level-access apartment with flexible access to Anchor's in-house home care service. The schemes and services are designed to enable you to continue living independently as your needs change.
Assisted living services typically include:
- The provision of up to three meals a day
- Companionship services such as arranging social appointments, making travel arrangements, help participating in hobbies and company at meal times
- Home help services such as domestic cleaning, laundry service, supervising home maintenance, pet care and help with shopping
- Personal care services including bathing, assistance with dressing and eating, and a live-in service
Having a care assessment
Before you move in to one of our properties for sale and take advantage of assisted living support, you'll be required to have a care assessment. This will enable us to fully understand your needs. The criteria used for assessing needs vary depending on location. Your local estate manager will be able to provide you with more detailed information about the care assessment process and help you to access support from local care providers if required.
Paying for care and support
If you live in a property that is managed by Anchor, some of the services provided will be covered by the service charge. Examples include responding to individual emergency alarm calls, regular visits to certain residents, and discussing any adaptation requirements (such as needing a shower instead of a bath).
