I am an Anchor Tenant from South Yorkshire but went to Glenside the weekend of 16th June, 2016 for a 3 night stay in their Guest Room. Prior to going I had spoken to the Scheme Manager who gave me the information I needed to gain access as I was to arrive late in the afternoon, when the Manager would no longer be there. Glenside has a lovely feel to it and I found it very welcoming and the notice boards were very informative. I bumped into a couple of the tenants who were very friendly and helpful too. The Guest Room was well equipped with 2 single beds, a wardrobe, set of drawers, wash basin with hot and cold water and a fridge freezer which was a great bonus. The Guest Room is on the ground floor with a shower room. There are 2 toilets just outside the Guest Room, on the ground floor so all facilities were to hand. The Guest Room was clean with lovely bedding and fresh towels were provided. The communal lounge and kitchen are also on the ground floor. The lounge is very clean and inviting with lots of information leaflets. There is a CD music player and a large flat screen TV. One of the residents offered to put it on for me but I was quite happy just sitting in the homely surroundings reading a few magazines. I can honestly say that this scheme is brilliant and has a really welcome and friendly feel to it. The lounge is very welcoming and feels really "comfy cosy" which I think is important. I did meet a few of the residents who were only too happy to have a chat and pass the time of day. West End is a nice place with lots of facilities to hand including a Asda supermarket, pub, takeaways etc. I met the Scheme Manager on the Monday morning before I was leaving and feel I had had a good bargain at £10 per night. Congratulations to all at Glenside, I will be staying again.
