Language support service
Anchor recognises that for older people from different backgrounds and cultures, finding the right support and care can sometimes be difficult if English isn't their first language.
Anchor utilises the skills of our diverse workforce to provide a language support service to help improve communication and inclusion with these customers.
We have a network of colleagues across our services who are able to provide language support for the following 26 languages: Afrikaans, Arabic, British Sign Language, Cantonese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Filipino, French, German, Gujarati, Hindi, Lithuanian, Malay, Mandarin, Polish, Punjabi, Russian, Serbo-Croat, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Kannada, Portuguese, Slovak and Urdu.
Anchor are able to work with local interpreters to help customers who speak languages not included in this list, and ensures regular documents, such as statements, are made available to our customers in languages other than English, as well as large print.
Our Anchor on Call emergency call team also have access to telephone-based language services that enable them to provide emergency assistance in a range of languages, offering you 24-hour peace of mind.
