There’s more on offer in our retirement communities than care, though. We know that opportunities to socialise are as important at this stage of your life as they have always been, so each scheme offers a range of communal facilities and activities.
These vary from scheme to scheme but can include facilities such as cafés and gardens, groups and clubs on site, as well as a variety of specially arranged day trips and events away from your retirement community.
These retirement schemes may suit those of you with dementia because you are free to live as independently as possible but with the continual support of an on-site care team.
We recognise that people have different care and support needs. If you do need home care, you have the choice of using the on-site team or any other provider you wish.
