Confidential advice line

Confidential advice on moving into care is available from an advice line being offered thanks to a unique partnership.

The advice line is aimed at helping individuals and their families to:

  • Make informed choices about moving into care
  • Share their worries and concerns with sympathetic, understanding and well-informed advisors
  • Know what standards of service they can reasonably expect
  • Understand their rights and entitlements
  • Find reassurance and support in coming to difficult and stressful decisions about the future
  • Build positive relationships with care providers once their loved ones are living in a care home

It has been set up thanks to a unique partnership between The Relatives & Residents Association (R&RA) and five members of the National Care Forum (NCF), including Anchor Homes.

R&RA was founded as a national charity in 1993 and exists to promote the well-being of older people, representing their interests in care homes and offering support to their relatives.

The NCF aims to be the leading voice for not-for-profit care providers, seeking primarily to promote quality care for all its customers.

Call 020 7354 5094

The line operates 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays.
