We are passionate about what we do and how we care for our residents. At Nelson Lodge we have a caring team of professionals dedicated to delivering personally tailored care and ensuring our residents always feel confident that they can rely on a friendly face and helping hand 24-hours a day.

Our care home staff and carers are specially selected for their personal qualities, such as being instinctively warm with a natural desire to help others – taking time to have a friendly chat, reminisce or share a joke.

All carers employed by Anchor are given intensive training and are required to complete NVQ qualifications and a range of in-house courses to assure you the best possible care.

At Nelson Lodge all members of the care home team, from our administrators to our care managers, are focused on upholding the dignity and respect of everyone in our care and ensuring all of our residents feel comfortable and happy at all times.

Jane Trimarco

"I am privileged to be working with such a great team, my philosophy is person centred care and after 30 years of various care experiences, I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to my new and exciting post, I have recruited a fantastic team and look forward to working for Anchor and bringing this building alive with new memories for our precious residents, a home where they can live a very happy and full retirement."

Sarah Grodde

Deputy Manager

"I have worked in care for over 20 years and pride myself and my team in delivering the highest standard of person centred care. We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Nelson Lodge."

Cliona Pritchard

Customer Relations Manager

"I have been a part of Nelson Lodge since November 2016 when it was a building site. Being the first point of contact for a family is a huge responsibility and one I take to heart. I enjoy being there to help and to provide support at a difficult family time. It is so important to let people know how fulfilling living with us is and how each person is treated with dignity and respect. Getting this message to families and residents allows them to start looking forward positively instead of back."

Robert Wilkie

Chef Manager

"Myself, along with the catering team provide home cooked meals and pride ourselves on making mealtimes sociable. They are usually filled with laughter!"

Ruth Southall

Activities Coordinator

"I really enjoy my job and it is such a pleasure to work at Nelson lodge. I ensure that there is something on offer for everyone, making sure our residents can continue with their hobbies and keep active."

Rachel Peck
