<< Back to NewsAnchor pilots Rok repairs
Rok’s building maintenance arm, Rokforce, will provide tailored response maintenance services for 56 Anchor Retirement Housing schemes throughout the south west area 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rok is one of three companies piloting a service to deal with a range of repair and maintenance issues. Previously, an individual scheme could be working with as many as 30 different contractors to deal with the problems that can crop up. In the new system, a single larger contractor has been chosen to deal with a wide range of problems from plumbing to electrics and windows to heating systems. Anchor is already trailing a similar scheme with AE Williams in the London area and Seddons in the north west. Charlie Scherer, area director for Rok’s Bristol office, said: “We are delighted to have secured this key partnering contract which reflects our excellent relationships with the social housing sector and the ability of our network of offices to provide an immediate response service around the clock.” Malcolm Gara, assistant director for Anchor Trust, said: “Rok has the ideal match for delivering responsive repairs for our south west area. The local coverage provided by Rokforce is excellent and they have been really good people to deal with as we have developed our service requirements.” Pictured are residents of St Clements Court, Bristol, with Rok staff.
