<< Back to News Ready, Steady… Graduate A total of 30 graduates celebrated their achievement at a ceremony held at Denham Garden Village on 15 May 2007 and attended by the TV chef as well as Care Services Minister Ivan Lewis. Anchor Trust Director of Care Services Jane Ashcroft opened the ceremony by talking about the impact the Cater Craft course has on the lives’ of older people and congratulated the chefs on their achievements. Care Services Minister Ivan Lewis added: “What you are doing is incredibly important. Many, many congratulations to Anchor for trailblazing and leading in this area.” Each chef was presented with a diploma by James Martin and Chief Executive John Belcher. James told graduates: “It’s great to see you all in your whites. It’s great to see you doing so well. Just remember you never stop learning. Grab the opportunities.” After the ceremony everyone then went on to enjoy cakes prepared by the Anchor Homes’ catering team and a glass of bubbly. James Martin chatted with the graduates before popping into Denham’s café-bar to meet staff and tenants.
