CBE FOR ANCHOR TRUST CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Anchor Trust Chief Executive John Belcher has been awarded a CBE for services to older people. Since joining Anchor as Chief Executive, Dr Belcher has ensured the organisation continues to develop innovative ways of improving the lives of older people. He was made a CBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, announced on 17 June 2006.

CARING CONNIE WINS TOP AWARD

The manager of an Anchor care home has won a coveted award aimed at recognising the best care staff in the country.

Connie Oppong, who is the manager of Anchor Homes' Greenhive care home in Brayards Road, Peckham, has been celebrating after being named Care Manager 2005. Mrs Oppong, who has four grown children and fostered six other children, has been at Greenhive since it opened in March 2002. November 2005
