ANCHOR TRUST JOINS THE AGEING DEBATE

Anchor Trust Director of Care Services Jane Ashcroft will be appearing on the Community Channel throughout April in 'The Ageing Debate' hosted by Jon Snow.

The debate was recorded in collaboration with Channel 4's season of documentaries entitled 'The Trouble with Old People'.The 60-minute show was initially broadcast immediately after Tony Robinson's film 'Me and My Mum' (27 March 2006) but digital viewers will have the chance to see the programme again throughout April.

The debate discusses the challenges for the care system and what it means to be old in Britain today. Mrs Ashcroft and representatives from the Older People's Advisory Group, Better Government for Older People, the Alzheimer's Society, the Centre for Policy on Ageing and Action on Elder Abuse debated the issues with Channel 4 news presenter Jon Snow.
