West Hall care home residents, staff and local families and school children enjoyed the Christmas celebrations at the Anchor care home in West Byfleet last weekend, as it hosted its Winter Wonderland event and opened its doors to the local community.

Children met Santa in his grotto, petted reindeer and listened to story time with elves in the library.  The Anchor Community Band sang carols in the Bistro whilst children made mince pies and many shopped in the stalls selling Christmas gifts, wreaths and jewellery.

Lorraine Dalton, whose father Ted Meadway lives at West Hall, said, β€œI enjoyed seeing my dad taking part in the Winter Wonderland and we loved the atmosphere. The carol singing was fantastic. We are looking forward to Christmas and spending time together as a family.”

Sarah Carpenter, General Manager at West Hall said: β€œIt was wonderful to see all of our residents having a great time and to see so many people that live in West Byfleet and Surrey come to West Hall and join in all of the fun.”
