Local MP Crispin Blunt and Deputy Mayor Cllr David Powell have visited Ridgemount care home in Banstead to celebrate Care Home Open Day (CHOD) with staff and residents last week.
Both gentlemen had a guided tour of the home, met residents and were very complimentary about Ridgemount when they visited on 19 June.
Residents also enjoyed a variety of activities and live entertainement in the garden as the sun was shining.
Susan Townsend, manager at Ridgemount said: “This year’s Care Home Open Day was a lot of fun for our residents and the people who visited Ridgemount, including the local politicians, saw for themselves what a great place it is to live and work.
“Meaningful activities, such as those organised for CHOD, are a key part of residents’ day as it stimulates them both mentally and physically.
“But the day was also a chance for visitors to find out more about life in a care home this year. I’d like to say well done to the whole team for making today a great success.”
