Acclaimed television and stage actor Richard Wilson OBE has joined our call on the Government to appoint a Minister for Older People.

He had this to say about the campaign: "As a fully qualified member of the older generation on and off screen, I fully empathise with Anchor's Grey Pride campaign to appoint a Minister for Older People. It would be a big step in securing the support needed for older people to truly enjoy their twilight years.

Famed for his portrayal as Victor Meldrew in the BBC's One Foot in the Grave, Richard has since championed various campaigns relating to older people.
"It is important that older people have a clear voice at the highest level of Government, especially when they represent such a significant and growing proportion of the population.”
We hope that the support of high profile Grey Priders such as Richard Wilson will raise awareness of our campaign and help us reach our all-important target of 100,000  petition signatures by autumn.
