Mary Lawrence, Estate Manager at Anchor’s Park Springs retirement housing estate in Swindon attended The Mobility Fayre 2015 on 27 June and spoke to members of the local community about the housing options available in the area.

The Mobility Fayre, organised by Swindon Borough Council in partnership with Swindon Equality and Access Group, is a free event aiming to raise awareness of the services and help available to disabled people and their families.

Mary was joined on the day by Vanessa Pryor and Sam from Anchor's Ferendune Court care home and said: “The wide range of exhibitors at the Fayre meant the public were able to access free advice on a variety of physical and mental issues as well as information on mobility and safety considerations.

“It was really nice to meet people from the local area and answer their questions about retirement housing. Many people were very interested in the services Anchor offer in Swindon and the surrounding areas.

“I also had an opportunity to meet professionals from Swindon Social Services and discuss the importance of the right type of housing for older people.”
