Staff from BT will bring Christmas cheer to care home residents in Westminster as part of their Engage volunteering programme.
Five volunteers from BT will visit Anchor’s Norton House on Wednesday 10th December to join the residents in a Christmas sing-along session and spread the festive spirit.
Antonio Meloni, Activities Co-ordinator at Norton House, said: “It will be fantastic to have some support from the BT volunteers, and a great opportunity for them to become part of our little community. Although looking at the big picture is important in providing the best care, it’s the small things that can mean the world, so it’s wonderful when people take the time to just come and socialise with our residents.”
Stuart Peck, BT Anchor Account Director, said: ''Christmas is a time for giving, and we wanted to give something back to people in the local area. Volunteering with Anchor is a lovely morale booster, as the team can immediately see the positive impact they’re making – we did this last year too and it was a huge success. By spending the morning singing carols at Norton House, we can kick off the holiday season in a way that’s really fun, sociable and rewarding for everyone involved.''
