A group of ten young people came along to Moore Place as part of the NCS Enterprise Challenge to talk to residents of Moore Place.

The NCS challenge is a programme for young people to learn new skills in the community. A group of 10 young people come together over two weeks to learn important life skills, such as living independently, learning about photography, media, enterprise, sport and drama. A part of this programme is for the young people to visit a care home over two days. The first day to interact with the residents and to find out about the activities they enjoy and on the second day to come back and put together an activities programme.

Miranda Morgan, Home Manager said 'that the young people were absolutely amazing interacting with our residents. After the two days the residents were saying that they thoroughly enjoyed speaking to the young people, they seemed so enthusiastic and listened well to the type of activities the residents enjoyed. One young man said he was going away to learn bridge after speaking to so many residents who enjoyed the game. However, the residents did say that he may have to learn whist first before tackling the complex game of bridge.'
