Anchor’s Moore Place care home is looking for unsung heroes in the local area, and launched its search at the Esher May Fair last weekend (Saturday 16 May).
Anyone in Elmbridge and surrounding boroughs who goes the extra mile to support their community could be in with a chance of winning up to £150 for a charity of their choice and an invitation to Moore Place care home’s VIP opening event.
Celebrating the many unsung heroes in the local community, Anchor’s Moore Place care home is calling for nominations for the Unsung Heroes Awards – it only takes a few minutes to write one or two sentences explaining who should win and why.
Nominations can be made online at www.moore-place.org.uk, or forms will be available from Moore Place on Portsmouth Road and various other Esher businesses. Nominations must be received by 18 August 2015.
Miranda Morgan, Anchor’s Home Manager at Moore Place, said: “We want to find out about people in Elmbridge, Kingston and Leatherhead who go above and beyond to do good in their local community.
“As a care and support provider, we understand that the littlest things can mean the world to people – just being there for a chat and a cup of tea can bring so much happiness.
“If you know someone who you think deserves recognition for their community contribution, please take two minutes to fill in a nomination form before 18 August.”
Moore Place care home on Portsmouth Road is opening in summer 2015 and will provide care for older people as well as specialist dementia care. The home is part of Anchor, England’s largest not-for-profit provider of housing and care to older people.
