Residents at Manor Court care home in Plymouth have been enjoying armchair exercise as part of a six week Active for Life fitness programme.

Residents have been enjoying a range of different activities including Tai Chi, yoga, Boccia and zumba.

Care Home Manager Mandy Whitby said “We are so pleased that we have had this opportunity to work with the Active for Life scheme and to help promote different exercises that residents can do in the comfort of their armchairs.

“This is just one part of our on-going activities programme designed to keep residents engaged and active at Manor Court and has been a lot of fun.”

Active for Life aims to improve health and well being by helping older people find something active they can enjoy regularly.
