Manor Court staff and residents have enjoyed hosting their first Purple Café this month.

Among other meanings, the colour purple is considered the colour of support for those living with dementia and the new café initiative at Manor Court aims to provide a networking opportunity for local people in the local community living with dementia.

The first café session was held on Friday 19 May at 2pm and saw residents, their friends and relatives attending. The event included cupcakes deliciously decorated by the residents, bingo, a raffle, and an extraordinary reminiscence music performance by artist Tony Greko

Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the live music, with many people getting up to sing and dance along.
