Residents at Heathside care home enjoyed a Valentine's Day visit and lunch with their relatives on Saturday 14 February.

Families visited Heathside on Coley Avenue for a three course meal and spent the afternoon together.

Activities co-ordinator, Holly Manley said "We had about nine families come in to celebrate our loved ones lunch which was really nice. We did a three course meal that started with tomato soup then we gave them either sausage and mash with Yorkshire pudding or vegetables curry and finished with banoffee pie for dessert.

"Residents and their families really enjoyed themselves and they all said they had a wonderful time and the home had such a lovely atmosphere".

The residents had spent much of the morning and previous day decorating the room with cards and love hearts on all the windows.
