Students studying Health and Social Care at Esher College visited Moore Place to celebrate National Care Home Open Day on Friday 16 June.   

Home Manager, Hannah Markland, welcomed the students and gave a talk on various aspects of residential care and the regulations governing care homes.   

The students were given a guided tour of the care home got to spend some time talking to the residents and care team.

Hannah said: “Care Home Open Day is really important to all Anchor’s care homes, it is a chance for the public to come and find out more about what a modern care home is really like.

“It was great to spend time with these students studying Health and Social Care and I hope they found this opportunity to spend time with us in a real care setting valuable and interesting. We look forward to welcoming them back again in the future.”
