On Monday 16 September tenants, friends and staff gathered at Anchor's Linnett House in Cambridge to throw a leaving party for Mrs Nelly Scott-Niederberger who has lived at the scheme for 14 years.

Nelly has been a valued member of the Linnett House community from her very first day and has helped to set up various clubs and coffee mornings over the years. She has been a great friend to all of her neighbours, past and present, and she will be greatly missed by all at the Scheme.

During her party, Nelly was presented with gifts and cards from other tenants as well as a lovely bouquet of flowers from the staff. She was able to share many stories and memories from her 14 years living at Linnett House and enjoyed discussing her time there with other tenants.

Scheme Manager Denise Dunn said: "I wanted to thank Nelly for her support with running events and for being such a good friend to Linnett House. Nelly is not moving far away and is staying with Anchor, opting to move to an extra care scheme which will be better suited to her needs. We all hope she will be very happy in her new home and that she pops by to see us whenever she has the chance!"
