During the first few months of winter, the ladies of St Edith’s care home in Essex knitted a small pram cover for the newest Royal baby, Princess Charlotte - lemon and white was the chosen colour theme and patchwork in pattern; the lining in lemon featuring small teddy bears.

The finished blanket was kindly delivered to St James Palace by the Office of Sir David Amess , the MP for Southend West and friend of St Edith’s.

Not long after, the ladies of St Edith’s received a personal photo and letter of thanks on behalf of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate.  These have been framed and are proudly on show in our Memory Lane Café at St Edith’s.
