Kemplah House in Guisborough has raised £400 for charity by taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on 29 September.

Residents and staff at Anchor’s Kemplah House prepared coffee, cakes and other tasty treats to sell in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Yet again, Kemplah House and almost 100 other care homes owned by Anchor have successfully joined forces to organise events and activities on this day. All money raised will be for Macmillan Cancer Support, which supports people with the condition and their families.

Manager Helen Winstanley said the coffee morning was a real hit with the local community while raising much needed funds for the charity.

She said: “Anchor often works with Macmillan and we know the fantastic work their nurses do.

“We feel proud that we have raised this money for such a worthy charity – and we all enjoyed to having some nice coffee and cake in the process!”
