Anchor and LNT staff gathered at Buckingham Lodge care home on Friday 5 December, to plant a holly bush in the gardens, marking the final stages of Anchor’s newest care home being built in Aylesbury.
Anchor’s Director of Sales & Marketing, Howard Nankivell and Director of Property and Construction, Dominic Hayes, enjoyed a tour of the 64-bed home and participated in planting the holly bush and releasing 100 purple balloons, to mark the milestone in the construction of the care home.
At the ceremony, Howard said: “This is a proud moment for Anchor and a key milestone in the construction of what will be a fantastic care home. It’s exciting to see how Buckingham Lodge is developing and now that we are nearing completion, we are looking forward to welcoming the local community to visit Buckingham Lodge care home when we open next spring.”
Andrew Long, Group Development Director at LNT Construction, who built Buckingham Lodge, said: “It’s great to see Buckingham Lodge take shape as we near completion. It is a high quality care home in a fantastic location, designed to meet the needs of older people with state-of-the-art facilities and en-suite wet-rooms throughout. We are very pleased to be working with a provider such as Anchor and it has been a pleasure to show their Directors around the home today.”
