The Mayor and Mayoress of Elmbridge visited Moore Place in Esher today (Monday 13 April) to officially open the information suite at Anchor’s new care home.
Mayor Cllr Barry Fairbank and the Mayoress Ms Gillian Smith joined Anchor staff to unveil an en-suite bedroom, dining room and lounge in the state-of-the-art care home, before cutting the ribbon to declare the information suite officially open.
Congratulating Anchor’s Moore Place team on the newly opened information suite on Portsmouth Road, the Mayor said: “I’m extremely impressed by how Anchor has transformed this historic site, once home to Lady Byron and a sanctuary for the Duke and Duchess of Orleans during the French Revolution. Moore Place care home will be a very valuable addition to the Esher community – and indeed, to all of Elmbridge, and even further afield.”
Miranda Morgan, Home Manager at Moore Place, commented: “This is a proud moment for Anchor, as we are one step closer to welcoming Moore Place residents to our wonderful new care home. We want to be central to life in Elmbridge, so I’m delighted that the Mayor and Mayoress could celebrate with us today, and we’re very excited to open up our beautiful information suite to the local community.”
