Colleagues form Anchor’s Elizabeth Court care home in Caterham have attended this year’s Caterham Carnival to help raise awareness of the services available for older people in the local community.
Hospitality Manager, Muriel Gibbons and Activity Co-ordinator AnnMarie Williams from Elizabeth Court on Grenadier Place had a stall at the carnival on 13 June.
Despite unseasonably chilly weather the pair had a very successful day talking to local people and offering free advice and information about the services the care home provides.
Muriel said: “We found the day really useful and got to meet some lovely people. As well as being a brilliant community day, we were really pleased to be able to offer people free information and advice about what to consider when choosing a care home for a loved one, the facilities at Elizabeth Court and information about respite care.”
