Residents and staff at Eastlake care home in Godalming have taken to the streets to begin their appeal for the National Activities Provider Association (NAPA) Challenge.

As part of the NAPA Challenge the care home is holding a fine dining experience on Tuesday 14 July. This will see six residents, three members of staff and two special members of the public sitting down for a meal together.

The Napa Challenge 2015 has six elements to it, one of which is to get the community involved with your activity. As part of Challenge the care home team contacted local businesses, who were more than happy to offer their support, supplying us with items towards our event.

Everyone at Eastlake, and in particular resident Iris David, who personally visited each store, would like to thank all the following businesses who have shown their support so far; Costa Coffee for generously giving the home a box of coffee and a box set of coffee syrup; Lorimers for kindly donating the place cards for our table; The Good Food Company for giving some much appreciated beer, and The Green House who have kindly donated a plant to help set the scene.

Carol Barker, Receptionist at the care home said: “We feel very proud of our residents for their great, caring community spirit. Everyone here is very much looking forward to our fine dining experience in July.”
