Eastlake care home in Godalming have said a fond farewell to one of their longest serving members of staff today.
Eastlake in Nightingale Road, held a party to celebrate the retirement of Sue Gregory who has worked at the home for 27 years.
Sue was presented with flowers, champagne and other gifts by manager Linda Grout, who thanked her for her many years of service and dedication to Eastlake.
Sue started work at Eastlake on 12 September 1990 after other a range of other jobs including working in a pharmacy and a stint at Marks and Spencers.
Sue has been married to retired fireman Norman for fifty years and has two daughters; Samatha and Viki, and a grandson, Daniel.
Sue said “I‘m looking forward to spending more time with my family, doing some DIY, gardening and going on a few holidays.”
Staff and residents at Eastlake would like to thank Sue and wish her well on her well-deserved retirement.
