Deputy Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Mrs Jan Fuller, enjoyed visiting Anchor’s newest retirement apartments in Weybridge, Surrey, today.
Mrs Fuller was the guest of honour at the official ceremony to mark the completion of the building footprint at Austin Place independent living retirement apartments, on Oatlands Drive.
The Deputy Mayor visited the site with Anchor’s Chief Executive Officer, Jane Ashcroft CBE and construction partner Castleoak’s CEO, Melville Knight, to see how the site will be turned into retirement apartments, promoting independent living whilst also ensuring residents can access the right level of support should their needs change.
Anchor’s Austin Place will have 65 one-and two-bed luxury apartments which will be offered exclusively for sale through Hamptons International Estate Agents in Weybridge. Communal facilities will include a hair and beauty salon, treatment room, coffee shop, lounges, a reading room and landscaped gardens. As well as having a thriving local community, residents will benefit from the peace of mind that any help or assistance they might need in the future is close at hand. Austin Place will open in 2016.
Anchor’s Chief Executive, Jane Ashcroft CBE said: “We are very excited that the building footprint is complete at Austin Place and the development is really starting to take shape. People will be able to make the most of living in a spectacular setting with the peace of mind that there are a range of housing and care options available to them. Austin Place is another step forward in Anchor putting solutions in place that meet its customers’ aspirations and changing needs.”
Castleoak CEO, Melville Knight, said: “We are delighted to be Anchor’s design and construction partner for these aspirational retirement apartments.
