Residents from Anchor’s Denham Garden Village in Denham have raised £1800 for charity Help For Heroes by holding a Summer Fayre.

The Fayre took place on Saturday 9th August and was a huge success, with over 150 people from the local community attending throughout the day.

Led by resident Sue Tipper, everyone worked hard together preparing the village and setting up an array of stalls for the event. The village staff also put on a BBQ for visitors to enjoy in the sunshine.

Sue said: “We wanted to raise money for Help For Heroes and decided holding a Summer Fayre would be a fun way to do so.

“I am so pleased we have raised £1800. I’d like to thank everyone for their support. It really was a team effort which raised a lot of money for such a worthwhile cause.”

Denham Garden Village Manager John Hall said: “The Summer Fayre was a huge success thanks to the efforts of our residents. This type of meaningful activity really boosts spirits and helps the community we live and work in.”
