Genette Lethbridge, a carer at Anchor’s Dawson Lodge care home in Southampton has shaved her head to raise money for her residents.

The money will help fund activities at the home as well as Christmas celebrations, while Genette’s  hair is being donated to the Little Princess Trust – a charity that provides real-hair wigs for children suffering with hair loss.

Following her haircut Genette said: “I feel a lot cooler up top now and very happy that I was able to do this for the residents.

“I hope that a little girl can benefit from the loss of my hair.”

Care Manager, Tracey Hibbard, shaved Genette’s hair and said “Genette is such an amazing person for doing this, it was her idea and we are all very impressed with her for doing it to help raise money for the residents.”
