Children will be performing a play and singing carols to residents in a Bishopstoke care home on Wednesday 20 December.

Pupils from Stoke Park Infant School will be visiting Anchor’s Orchard Gardens care home in Bishopstoke Park Village as part of the care home’s Christmas programme of activities.

To thank the schoolchildren for entertaining them, the care home residents will be treating the children to mince pies.

Grandmother Pam Cox, 71, who has lived in Orchard Gardens care home for almost a year, said she was really looking forward to seeing the children.

Orchard Gardens Manager, Tracy Hibberd said the residents always enjoy having visits from children.

She said: “The carol service is such a special event. Everyone really enjoys it. We organise a variety of events to stimulate the residents mentally and physically, and we are thrilled to be welcoming the children from Stoke Park Infant School into our home.”
