A Plymouth Care Home will open its doors to the public for two days next week.
Anchor’s Selkirk House in Church Road in Plymstock will open its doors on the 15th and the 16th of June to the public.
On Thursday the 15 at 2:30 pm staff and residents will rise up against dementia by fund raising for the Alzheimer's Society by taking part in Cupcake Day.
The home will throw a cupcake celebration which will see also Fiddler Rob Tappin and musical duo Tony and Ken providing an afternoon of entertainment.
On Friday the 16 Selkirk House will have its Care Home open day, in which the public are invited to visit. Home Manager, Michelle Amesbury said. “Life does not have to end when you find yourself in need of care and support. We at Selkirk House pride ourselves that we supply the very best of what care can offer. Those wishing to visit will be able to have a look around the home and see our life at here in Selkirk House.
“They will able to meet with the staff and residents who would be more than willing to answer any questions.”
